Inter Collaborative Group Quiz Competition
As a part of literary activity in celebrating the 52nd School Foundation Day, the School organized Inter CG General Quiz competition. The programmefs objective was to update the studentsf of the happening around the world and to enhance their knowledge in general.
Inter Class English Skit Competition
Five Skits were staged by five sections of class nine on 20th May. It was aimed at improving student's skills in speaking, acting, confidence, teamwork etc. The next round of the same will be held sometime later by the students of class X, XI and XII.
Inter CG English Debate Competition
The Inter CA English Debate was conducted on 13th May 2011 in the school MPH. The topic chosen for was gRestriction on rural-urban Migration can curb povertyh. Shrijan Moktan of class (A was awarded as the best speaker of the debate.
The Terminology Expert Championship
The terminology Expert Championship was held in our school MPH on 9th May. The Programme was conducted by a team of official from BBS. There were 24 participants from various schools under Mongar Dzongkhag.
Knowing the importance of teachers in onefs life, 2nd May is observed as teacherfs day in our country. The school celebrated the day with the lighting of butter lamps in the school prayer hall and some cultural items.
Inter Collaborative Group Dzongkha Debate Competition:
The inter CG Dzongkha Debate was a conducted on 29th April in school MPH. The topic for the debate was co-curricular Activities are more important than academics. It was organized with an objective to enhance skills in Dzongkha. Tenzin Norbu of 12 Arts was awarded as the best speaker.
Annual Sports Day
The Annual Sports Day was held on 23rd April in the school football ground. Owing to the mass participation from the students, the celebration went very well and successfully. There were new events like Gymnastics, pyramids, aerobics, drunken race, etc. which actually made the day a very interesting one.
With the main aim of raising parents awareness on issues and problems facing todayfs adolescence and youth, the School conducted School-based Parenting Education Awareness programme on 16th April.
World Heath DAY
Focusing on the attention of Health, 7th April is observed as the World Heath Day, To mark the day, our school organized a health Check up programme. Some personnel from the Mongar RRH were invited and a mass check up was conducted for the MHSS family in the school MPH.
Her Majesty, Ashi Dorji Wangmofs visit
On 5th April, Her Majesty, Ashi Dorji Wangmo visited our school and had an audience with the Tarayana Club members, teachers and the senior students. Her Majesty talked on the history of Tarayana Foundation and the missions, Vision, and the achievements and challenges as of now. As a soelra, Her Majesty gave a sum of Nu. 10000 to the School and Nu. 5000 for the Tarayana Club Members.
Inter–House English Extempore Speech Competition
The first English Literary programme Inter House English Extempore speech was conducted on 1st April. Green House emerged as winner, followed by the Red, Yellow and blue. The best speaker was Anand Moktan of class 12 Sci A.
Inter House Basketball Match Competition
The inter House basketball match began on 29th March for both boys and girls. The final match was played between Green and Yellow house boys and Red and Yellow house girls where the Green house boys stood as the winner and yellow house girls.
Fresherfs Show/Return Show
The new students who joined the school too became part of Mongar HSS staged a return show on 26th March to show their gratitude for welcoming them.
Presentation on Disaster Management
On 25th March, the team of the School Disaster Management made a presentation on the disaster awareness and highlighting on the current disasters. On the same day, there was a presentation on Drug related issues by an official (Sir Dorji Tshering) from Bhutan Narcotic Control Agency.
World Water DAy
The group of students with same teachers participated in marking the e World Water Day on 22nd Mach at Mongar LSS. Miss Bhutan Sonam Choden Retty, along with the members from SNV and Department of Youth and Sports were involved in the celebrations. All the participantsf tool part in a ewalk for water, walk for lifef campaign, where they visited the main water source of Mongar town and cleaned the source and its surrounding area.
Welcoming the fresher of the school, the oldshers staged a welcome show on 19th March in the school MPH.
Inter House Volley Ball Competition.
The 1st games and sports event of the year, volleyball, which began on 7th march ended on 15th March. The competition was held among four houses and was both boys and girls.

On 15th of Feb., we had SBIP on waste management facilitated by Md. Sangay Chezom, Helath and Sanitation byb Mr. Karna Dhoj Yanjan and presentation by Mr. KNS.
The Class X and XII students reported to the school on 16th Feb and we were joined by class IX students on 17th Feb. and it was also marked as the National Education Day for the Ist time . On the joyous occasion of HM the 5th King's Birthday, We had a great celebration on 21st Feb at the public ground. There were students from peripheral schools (Sherub Reldri HSS, Ridaza CPS and Mongar LSS) To mark the day, students exhibited various literary activities on the theme "Monarch and Education " and posters.
As a welcome match, the teachers and the students played a very interesting basketball match on 24th Feb.
On 26th Feb, the sekection interview for class XI students was conducted in the school MPH and the school has decided to take a section of science, two sections of commerce and a section of Arts stream.
The family of MHSS was joined by a new set of class XI students on 7th March 2011.
Our school was given a brief visit by the Education Secretary, Aum Sangay Zam on 7th March at around 3:30 pm.
We were privileged to attend the MTR on 10th
5 year plan with Honourable Prime Minister and his team on 8th March
besides that we the students and teachers were graced with a special
session for about an hour by the PM.
